App State Women's Basketball Story is set for new heights

Coming off another stellar year, Madi Story set career highs and led the team in scoring (13.3 ppg), rebounds (6.9 rpg), 3-pointers (38) and free throw percentage at 73.3%. The rising senior has improved her game the last two seasons, which is telling by the numbers she has put up after averaging just under four points and two boards in her first season at app state.

Story's five double-doubles last season was a personal best and led all guards in the Sun Belt. She was one of just five student-athletes to score at least 30 points in a game, while Her 31-point performance against NC A&T was tied for the third highest in the league. In addition, she was the only athlete in the Sun Belt to lead her team in points, rebounds and 3-pointers made.

the 5'10 guard scored at least 20 points in seven contests, including a sun belt tournament career-high 24 points in a first round win over coastal carolina for the Mountaineers' first-ever SBC Tourney win. over an 11-game stretch, she averaged 16.9 points, 8.5 rebounds, shot 44.3 percent from the field, 42.4 percent from 3-point land and dished out just under three assists per game.

the sky is the limit for story in her senior season as she'll look to help lead the apps on a sun belt championship run.
