The french revolutioN By Kyle Sear

The French Revolution was a hard time for the French . It became an issue when the French empire was running low on money because of war funds. Also the way the French society was running at the time, they would get really small tax returns. Inequality was happening and the third estate has enough of it, and created the tennis court oath when locked out of a meting of the Estates.

The Tennis Court Oath

The iconic battle of the French Revolution was "The Storming of the Bastille". The battle happen because King Louis made a mistake of ordering troops to Paris and Versailles, because of this, the citizen and the National Assembly was scared that the King was planning to use violence to end the meetings. With this happening, the French citizen and the National Assembly wanted to arm themselves. On July 14, 1789, a mob of Paris citizens went to an ancient prison called the Bastille, trying to find weapons to arm themselves. After trying to work things out, the officers and the citizen fought, ending with the commanders head on a stick.

The Storming Of The Bastille

After the battle, the National Assembly started to make a more equal government. It started with the "Declaration of the Rights of Man and the Citizen". The assembly stared to make many changes, with the restrictions on power, how the new government would be formatted, to the end of the monarchy in France.

The Reign Of Terror

Execution of the Queen
Maximilien Robespierre

Reign of Terror was a bloody time. It was full of executions from the one and only Guillotine. It's "leader" and head of the execution was Maximilien Robespierre. It made an impact on the French Revolution by making the supposedly "traitors" and "weak" people apart of the revolutions. Making the Revolution easier.

Napoleon

The French Revolution shocked many other European countries. Like Prussia and Russia. When the Monarchy fell during the Revolution, they absolutely wanted it to go back, because French had an powerful monarch.

Napoleon was a powerful leader and king that surprised his commanders and his enemies. He was a great person that helped the Revolution, and help French gain power, and scare other countries while doing it.
