in this area we will show you how to find the area of a trapezoid

- step 1 First you have to look at your trapezoid and find the base 1 and base 2 if your having trouble finding the 2 bases look for the parallel lines and find the height of the trapezoid which is the 90 degree angle

- step 2 Next you put your 2 bases and your height into the formula which is 1/2(b1+b2)h

- step 3 Start solving your problem by adding the 2 bases . A=1/2(b1+b2)h

When you get the sum multiply it by your height A=1/2(8)h

After you get your product divide it by 2 A= 1/2(P)

- step 4 Your done !!! Now you know how to solve and find the area of a trapezoid .

some tips to finding the area of a trapezoid are: #1 instead of dividing the product by 2 you can multiply by .5
