Manifest Desiny The inevitable expansion of america

"The belief in the United States that its settlers were destined to expand across North America.

This led to the desecration of the lives already in America...

...And the beginning of the modern world

The settlement of North America lead to many disputes. most about space, although it was in abundance.

The cowboys lost their ability to run cattle drives due to the homesteaders. who were lured by the Homestead Act of 1862, which gave them free land to expand.

This free land lead to the invention of barbed wire to keep cattle (on cattle drives) out of crops. making a cowboys job nearly impossible.

But as we all know, along with the expansion, also came the thievery of land from the natives already there. this led to wars and extreme cruelty.

We also obliterated the population of Buffalo for skins. which also destroyed the food source for natives.

The cruelty and hardships of the 'wild west' led to the civilization we have now.
