Natalia Cordova A look into my life

My name is Natalia Cordova. I am a freshman Health Science major here at Clemson and love everyday here in the 864. I was originally born in Atlanta, Georgia but ended up moving to Taylors, South Carolina when I was just 3 months old. My family has been here ever since.

As a young girl, I always dreamed of doing big things. I did not think about where I wanted to go to school until I met one of my best friends in my fourth grade class at Mountain View Elementary. She was a big Clemson fan, so naturally I became a big Clemson fan and the rest is history. I applied and got accepted into the best school in the country.
Throughout my whole life, I always had a wonderful support system. My parents, siblings, cousins, aunts and uncles were always there for me if I ever needed to talk. Whether it was confusion over what my future holds, or even if I'm simply having a bad day. I also have a wonderful younger brother and an array of younger cousins who I have the chance to be a role model for. My little brother, who I have taught to be a Clemson fan throughout the years, is one of the main reasons I feel the need to set a good example for. He is one of my favorite people in the world and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for him. I also have 8 nieces and nephew, only one is pictured above because including them would be too many pictures. They are also one of the reasons I get up and continue working hard here at Clemson.
Along with wonderful family, I managed to find great friends to grow up with, meet, and get to know over the course of my life. These people are very important to me, and during my senior year it became very hard for me to realize I had to go away and possibly wouldn't be able to see them for a while. It took some time to realize this and the summer before college was full of mini adventures with these wonderful people I get to call friends. This past summer has been filled with hiking trips, trips to the movies, random nights out to eat, fun prom nights, and even trips to Disney World!
During my final two years in high school, I had the opportunity to go to Disney World with my high school honors choir which was an amazing experience full of amazing people. This was such a great trip because it was one of my last trips with a choir I have grown to love. Music is one of my favorite hobbies whether it is singing it, playing it, and writing it, although the latter one never quite worked out. Nonetheless this choir trip was filled with music, fun and Disney, which ironically are my three favorite things. This is one of the moments I will hold in my hear for the rest of my life. This was definitely one of the best moments and one final goodbye to my life as a high school kid.
While I was nervous about attending Clemson University, worried it would be hard to make friends, I trusted in God and went in with a positive mind and a smile on my face. Thankfully I got an amazing roommate and introduced myself to many people and got the chance to make some great friends. I can now happily say I have a great group of friends along with a great freshman football (and academic) experience and attend a school with not one, but two national championships. Roll Tigers everybody!
