Water pollution in Africa By: Jorge Vasquez

On this picture grid we have some picture that describe what going on in some part in part how they throw trash or some liquids on the water for example: Industrial and farm waste, Bottle, Plastic bags, Rusted metals.

In some part of South Africa is experiencing a water crisis with scientists say there is strong evidence of decreased water flow and water quality.

According to the United Nations:

  • 84% of the rural population uses improved drinking water sources.
  • 8 of 10 people still without improved drinking water sources live in rural areas.
  • 42% of the population of least developed countries gained access to Improved drinking water sources since 1990.
  • In 2015, 663 million of people still lack improved drinking water sources.

WATER AND SANITATION:

The United Nations reports:

  • 91%of the global population now uses an improved drinking water source.
  • 2.6 billion people have gained access to an improved drinking water sources since 1990.
  • 96% of the global urban population uses improved drinking water sources.
