I do not think teams and schools should be able to use Native Americans as mascots.
I believe this because the people did not represent the Native Americans right in movies so they shouldn't be allowed to use them as a mascot. In the article Adidas Pleges to Help Schools Change Their Native American Mascots Eric Liedtke said, " can lead to a more respectful enviroment." This quote supports my claim because he said this talking about how if people were to change their mascots it would make peace and everything seem kind if it wasn't.
The Native Americans shouldn't be used as mascots because some do not represent the Natives right or accurate. According to the article Adidas Pleges to Help Schools Change Their Native American Mascots"offer up our resouces to schools to do whats right." What this means is they want to show that schools have a nice enviroment. They want to treat everyone equally. The right thing to do is to not make them a mascot but honor them like all other humans would be honored.
