Things are not always what they seem people shouldn't be judged by skin color

Niyea Pollard-calliste lives in Washington D.C. there are lots of landmarks and history around d.c. it's full of DIVERSITY!

Being young is a blessing in itself laughter and friends all in one. Innocent, Pure, and running around Is what we do. Knowing nothing about race and inequality.

For her she only felt that when she was with her friends and family. at school it was a different story. By second grade things only got worse for two consecutive years.

She felt as if She was alone. Niyea would try and be friends with peolpe but they shuned her away, like a stray dog in the streets. she didn't know as a child that young, someone could judge you by the color of your skin. she was only liked by her peers when she was giving. this became her only moments she was happy. though they were using her and she had no clue. a child should never feel alone at school, especially one who is nothing but a happy and giving soul.

Things would HOPEFULLY get better. with a new school HOPEFULLY she would meet new friends.

First Day at a New School, A fresh start.

That was the best change her mom could've done for her. You never know how much fun it can be to be with people you are close to every day. Next Chapter, it was on to Middle school. where she had the best year's of her life. for a second time, she found a school environment that welcomed her individuality. Where skin color, hair preference, and body images didn't matter.

"Fun should never be a thought but a reality." -Niyea P.C.

Bulling is like a dark tunnel and trying to get out is like facing bullying. saying to your self that you are strong and don't deserve to be bullied. basically you are driving thought the tunnel and you are in a traffic jam, the jam is because people are not paying attention. you can see the light outside of it. all you need to do it honk your hornso the people in front of you will look up and keep driving. within minutes or even seconds you are out the tunnel and into the light.
