Our new country would need firm guidelines so, we don’t fall apart, and the constitution possesses these guidelines we need. The constitution contains the rights of the people or the bill of rights unlike the articles of confederationy.

The led in the Federalist campaign for the ratification James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, and John Jay they recalled the weaknesses of the government under the Articles of Confederation. They all showed how the Constitution would could make the country stronger.

The Federalist leaders also said that many Americans feared that a strong government would threaten their freedom and take away their rights. The power given to the government was strictly limited, those power were divided into three branches so that no branches would be too powerful.
