Virtual Read-a-Thon

This year, we held our first-ever Read-a-Thon fundraiser. Our Read-a-Thon is a program that brings students together with family and friends to encourage reading and to build literacy skills, and to raise money for the school at the same time!

The main focus of the Read-a-Thon is for everyone to know we are committed to improving reading skills. The Read-a-Thon promises to be a fun, exciting journey for all participants as they begin a personal Reading Adventure that challenges each reader to complete 10 reading sessions over our 2-week event.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Read-a-Thon! The fundraiser was a huge success encouraging our Seabees to spend hours reading and boosting their literacy skills, while at the same time raising funds for the school. Look at these stats:

Become a Seabee Earth Protector!

April 18-24

In celebration of Earth Day, the PTO Sustainability Committee created a challenge for students, in which they learned about reducing waste! All students who completed the challenge became a Seabee Earth Protector and won a special pin to show the world how much they care about our planet.

Check out the awesome upcycle projects that students completed on the Earth Day Challenge website! Thanks to everyone who participated!

Remember that membership is ANNUAL, so even if you joined last year please sign up again!

Help Us Stock the Lounge!

Stock the Lounge is new PTO initiative, which provides a monthly, motivating treat the amazing staff at our school. In keeping with Covid policies, treats will be professionally made and individually wrapped. The PTO is soliciting product donations from companies while we are virtual, as well as accepting monetary donations to purchase treats from local vendors.

If you would like to make a tax deductible contribution to Stock the Lounge, please donate through the button below! If you have questions or would like to help solicit product donations, please email marvinbsmithpto@gmail.com.

Our PTO makes a big difference in our school!

  • We provide treats and kudos during Teacher Appreciation Week!
