(L to R) Pat Kickham - Liberty Security, Jeff Couch, Ethan Couch (Former NKF patient)
"My daughter has a very severe case of Hydrocephalus and she has had 4 brain surgeries at the Stollery children's hospital. I'd like to thank you guys again for supporting the NKF. You truly are helping change the lives of many children in the hospital and it means so much to me that you guys support NKF. The NKF has changed our lives. Not just my daughter Anneliese's but my life. They have helped my mind body and soul during this journey which wouldn't be possible without support like the golf tournament. From the bottom of my heart, thank you."

- Kristen H.

Past Donations to the NKF have supported initiatives such as:

  • Camp Everest and Lil’ Everest Summer Camps
  • A child friendly intra-operative MRI waiting room
  • Parent & Sibling Support groups
  • ‘Compassion Bags’ diagnosis and bereavement packages

The Edmonton Down Syndrome Society is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals born with Down syndrome. They provide opportunities and experiences for people with Down syndrome (Ds) to learn, grow and strive for their individual potential in their home, school and community life.

By creating awareness about the unique abilities and potential that lies within each and every person born with Ds, our world becomes empowered with knowledge, compassion and inspiration.

The society supports individuals born with Ds and their families in Alberta from Red Deer north, including Edmonton, Grande Prairie, Bonnyville and Fort McMurray up to the North West Territories.
