Tornado Men's Volleyball 2020 Season preview

The King University men's volleyball team is coming off their third straight Conference Carolinas regular season title and heartbreaking conference tournament runner-up finish. In 2020, head coach Ryan Booher looks to have his team ready to make another run at an NCAA Tournament appearance and fourth straight league title.

  • Averages 2.69 kills, 1.29 digs and 0.40 blocks per set in his career

JOSHUA KIM

Jr. | 6-6 | RS | Garden Grove, Calif

  • Selected third team All-Conference Carolinas
  • Ranked top 20 in Conference Carolinas in kills, digs and blocks per set
  • Owns career-highs of 18 kills and 16 digs
  • Averages 2.67 kills, 1.70 digs and 0.67 blocks per set

NOAH MELENDEZ

  • Third team All-Conference Carolinas selection
  • Averaged 1.46 digs per set
  • Career-high of 14 digs came in a conference tournament quarterfinal win

JT DEPPE

Jr. | 6-3 | OH/RS | Mukwonogo, Wis.

  • Appeared in 16 matches and 44 sets
  • Averaged 7.93 assists per set with a total of 349 helpers
  • Averaged 1.45 digs and 0.59 blocks per set
  • Handed out career-high of 50 assists on February 2

Ryan Booher

Booher has been selected Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year three times after leading the Tornado to Conference Carolinas regular titles in 2017, 2018, and 2019. Two seasons ago he guided the Tornado to their first Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Championship title and their first NCAA Division I Men's Volleyball Championship appearance.
