Men's Basketball vs. Penn State January 4, 2017

Tonight's win against the Nittany Lions marked John Beilein's 200th win with the Wolverines.
Tonight's Big Ten home opener was the 46th all-time meeting between Michigan and Penn State with the Maize and Blue leading the series 34-12 overall.
The Wolverines forced 14 turnovers while only giving up five. U-M ranks second in the nation for fewest turnovers per game and has had 10 or fewer turnovers in 10 games so far this season.
Four players scored in double digits tonight: Irvin (14), Walton Jr. (14), Wilson (12), and Wagner (12). And a total of eight Wolverines put points on the board.
Moe Wagner had 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting (3-for-3 FT) and is now averaging 11.6 points per game. Wagner also had three steals on the night tying his season high for the third time.
DJ Wilson is averaging 10.1 points and a team-best 6.9 rebounds in what is considered his first full season with the Maize and Blue.
Derrick Walton Jr. shot a perfect 6-for-6 from the line and is ranked second in the Big Ten and 24th in the nation in free throw percentage. He is 45-for-49 (91.8%) on the season.
U-M carries a 79-15 record at Crisler Center over its last five-plus seasons --including a 9-1 record so far this season.
