Paul Sebastian Gómez A young Latino leader

Paul Sebastian Gómez is a 19-year-old student at Arizona State University and Shift Supervisor at his local Starbucks. Originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, he relocated in 2015 to Mesa, Arizona with his father, a United Methodist pastor, and began getting more involved in the UMC, not just at a local level, but at an international level. At just 18 years old, he was nominated and elected as an alternate delegate to the 2016 General Conference and Western Jurisdictional Conference. By 19, he was already appointed as a Commission Member, a position usually held by United Methodists two or three times his age, for United Methodist Communications, a general agency of the denomination.
