Library Makerspace Just some ideas...

Cubelets!

Super cool! Each block serves a function, and can't perform without properly combining with another one. Great problem-solving activity, with some basic roboting and physics principles thrown in.

LittleBits

LittleBits are an excellent introduction to circuitry and electricity. Pieces are color-coded and assemble via magnets. Pieces can be combined to construct dozens of contraptions.

Sprk+

Sprk+ is a product from Sphero, a recreational, indestructible robotic ball. Sprk+ provides an element of programming, from simply drawing the robot's course to more advanced coding.

Lego

A classic. Suitable for older and younger learners. Robotics kits are available, as well as sets that allow students to create 3d narratives.

Bloxels

Construct scenery and characters from blocks, then transform them into a video game. Teaches good design, physical properties, and planning. Also is just awesome.
