The CHRISTUS Spohn Dr. Hector P. Garcia Memorial Family Health Center officially opened its doors in January 2017. Members of the CHRISTUS Spohn executive team, physicians, elected officials and friends of our ministry met January 26 with generous benefactors whose gifts helped to support construction of the Garcia Family Health Center.
Those donations include a pair of million-dollar gifts from the A.R. “Tony” and Maria J. Sanchez Family Foundation and from H-E-B.
The Ed Rachal Foundation also provided a gift of $100,000 toward the new Garcia Family Health Center.
In addition to these lead gifts, the CHRISTUS Spohn Foundation received more than 120 gifts toward the Garcia Family Health Center through sponsors of the 2016 Lyceum, which featured Pulitzer Prize-winning author David McCullough.
