Painted Landscapes An artistic look back at 2016 by Thomas Leonard

This past year has been a year of growth and transition. As a photojournalist for KY3, my role is becoming more and more video-centric and less and less photo-centric.

While that means I have done less photojournalism, I have taken up the mantle of landscape photographer this year. With my wife quitting her job to stay at home with me and the kids, this has freed us up to do a little more travelling. So this year's collection of photographs spans four states.

As with last year's post, I've taken a few of my favorite photographs that I've captured over the past year and given an artistic touch to them. I hope you enjoy!

And that's that! I hope you all had a great 2016 and I look forward to all that 2017 has to offer! I plan on doing a lot more travelling (including a trip to the PNW) so next year should be even better!
