Photoshoot Style Guide Not sure what to wear? Here are some ideas to guide you.

Start with mom

Mom has to feel pretty, comfortable and happy. The rest of the family are usually affected by her (your) vibe.

Mix & match complimentary colors...

Using various shades, textures and patterns for depth

Coordinated, but not too matchy-matchy

When choosing your colors...

What are the colors like in your own home?
Think about the colors that would look good in a family photo hanging on your wall. Do you have an accent color to play off?
What kind of location will you choose?
You don’t want to clash with your background or blend in completely.

If they won’t wear it on a normal day...

then don’t expect them to be happy about wearing it on photo day! (Usually applies to husbands also)

Use textures, layers and accessories!

Think tutus for textures, jackets, vests or sweaters for layers, and necklaces, earrings, and scarves for accessories.

Don’t forget bows, bowties, belts, shoes and pops of COLOR!

Avoid:

Lots of black clothing, too much eyeliner, and matchy-matchy outfits.

Don’t forget to find inspiration using Pinterest and instagram!
