Snapshot 24 February 2017

Dear friends

If there is one things that consistently complicates the lives of people it is money. The Bible has a lot to say about money;

- Money is depicted as a blessing from God. It can give one a blessed life and The bible is clear that all good things come from God's hand.

- In the book of Proverbs we read that the love of money is the root of all evil. Note: is does not say that money is evil, simply that the love of money has a way of complicating one's life.

Proverbs 21:20 "The wise store up choice food and olive oil, but fools gulp theirs down."

- This passage speaks about saving and spending. Some people are obsessed with saving while others have no savings plan at all. In fact, they are obsessed with spending it. In both cases their lives become more and more complicated. Is there a way out?

Over the last two weeks we investigated how the quality of our relationship with God and the people around us can simplify our lives. Did you know that money well managed can simplify your life? This is what I want to speak about this Sunday. Why not bring a friend?

In addition, several people are going to be baptised this week so you cannot miss it!

ANNUAL "DETAILS UPDATE"

Every year, we ask you to complete a form to make sure we have your correct details. This year, we are making it much easier for you and have printed our your personal/family profile with the information we have. All we ask is that you would check the information and correct anything that's incorrect, and fill in anything that's missing. (Much easier than filling in a whole new form wouldn't you say? No pen cramps anymore!).

So, please help us! On Sunday, stop by the "Update my Details" table and grab your info form. Check it quickly and post it in the "Update My Details" box. As an added bonus - filling in your details gets you a free Easter egg if you do it this Sunday!

You know you want one!

Tip of the day: If you arrive early for church - grab a coffee or hot chocolate and grab your form, then you can complete it during the service.

Seriously, how cool is this?

Last year we told you about our friend, Dalene Reyburn's forthcoming book. Well... It's here! And it's GORGEOUS - both aesthetically and content-wise. So if you're looking for a new devotional, a gift for someone, or just want to support Dalene, head on over to Cum Books or Exclusive books, or order it at loot.co.za!
