## Modelling changeBy Milo

For this project we had to find a topic of our interests and find 15 or more points of progression. In my case I did the Olympics. I decided to graph the number of athletes that have participated in the summer Olympics. I started from the year. 1964 to the year 2016. All of my information came from Wikipedia.

The first step was to find 15 different data points. So from the year 1964 to last year 2016 these are the number of athletes that have participated in the summer Olympics.

The column on the left is the year, and the one on the right is the # of athletes.

Once I found all my data points I had to put all the data in the graph. So the graph below shows all the points without any lines of best fit.

My graph without any lines of best fit.
My graph with three lines of best fit for each interval.
My graph with one line of best fit for all my data points.

### Calculations

Now for the lines of best fit to appear on the graph I had to create an equation to put into Desmos. So here are my calculations.

My Calculations for the future.

So as you can see if my calculations are correct by the year 2068 there should be 16,499 athlete of all genders participating in the 2068 summer Olympics. And by he year 2112 there should be 20,833 athletes participating. Down below are my calculations for interval 3 and the line of best fit for all the data points.

These are my calculations for the lines of best fit for interval 2 and 1.

So something about my graph is that there is a few times where my graph decreases and that is because sometimes some countries don't participate because of the location and the weather sometimes. So that is all I have to show you so thank you for your attention.
