Coker Cobras
The Coker College men’s volleyball team is looking to bounce back after dropping an away decision against Lincoln Memorial. Last time at home the Cobras put up a fight against one of the premier teams in the region Mount Olive. The Cobras fought hard and captured the victory in the fifth and final set against the Trojans. The Navy and Gold traveled to face the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters last Friday, dropping the match 3-0. While the match ended 3-0, freshman Cobra Manuel Hernandez recorded 11 skills and six digs, both of which were team-highs.
The Cobras are now getting ready to face the Barton College Bulldogs at home on Tuesday (Feb. 12). Tuesday's match will begin at 7:00, with live stats and video available at www.cokercobras.com.
Player to Watch
Hernandez has been playing well for the Navy and Gold this season. During the last match against Lincoln Memorial he recorded team-highs of 11 skills and six digs. He has competed in every match for this year for Coker, recording a total of 57 kills with a .207 hitting percentage. Hernandez has also recorded 24 digs and he is looking to continue his impressive start to his Coker career.

BARTON
Barton's six-game winning streak came to an end with a 3-2 setback to North Greenville last Saturday afternoon in a Conference of Carolinas matchup. Even with the loss, Barton stills sits as the second-best team in the nation according to Off the Block. The Bulldogs also took down the University of Southern California earlier in the season.
The Bulldogs are led by the tandem of senior outside hitter Vasilis Mandilaris and junior right side hitter Angelos Mandilaris. During their last game, Vasilis had 21 kills while Angelos added 18 kills and six digs in the loss.
Player to Watch
Mandilaris is a fundamental player for the Bulldogs. He was named to the Conference Carolinas All-Conference First Team and named the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year in 2017. Additionally, he has recorded a total of 808 kills and 309 digs during his career at Barton.
