The Theme of Creation and Destruction through chapters 5, 7, 11, 21

This theme plays a major role in all of these chapters because the monster is constantly changing and changing the state of the characters for example when the monster comes to life Victor goes into a two year long sickness that what could be caused by the fact of what the monster was. Another example is how William was killed by the monster in which is the first time that the monster reappeared in the book and he was destroying something yet it was like his rebirth in the book because while Victor was sick the monster just disappeared.

Supporting Gothic

When Victor is coming home after he learned of William’s death and he is just getting to Genavia and he hears something in the woods and all of the sudden he sees the monster that he created point blank in the woods.

When Victor makes the monster and really changes the views on nature because it becomes more dark and scary because he created something that totally changed his view on how he sees nature.

The death of William that leaded to the death of Justine and the entire trial that no matter what happened during her trial she was already set that she has to die to make up for the death of William.

When Victor is making the monster and he is trying to find all the parts and the entire time he was making the monster he was behind closed door like he was so secretive about his products.

When Victor first talks to the monster they go to a cave and sit around a fire so that the monster can tell his story. The entire time that the monster is telling the story the just sit there in the dark with the fire being the only source of light.

When Elizabeth gets scarlet fever and the mother runs in and comforts her then his mother gets scarlet fever and Elizabeth lives but his mother dies and this all happens right before he goes to college.

When Richard burns down the family’s cottage and then goes to live off the land.

While in a search for food and shelter Richard meets up with the young William Frankenstein and kills him. He then claims “I too can create desolation"

The monster shows super human strength and and speed.

Frankenstein will making a bride for the monster changes his mind and destroys his the in progress monster before he makes the same mistake twice.

Thesis: Frankenstein's conflicting with deciding on if he should do what is right or if he show do what furthers science.

Body: in the beginning he is a man who will do what ever two continue his science but by the end he had become a man who only wish's to fix his mistake and kill the monster. The conflict developed also developed him into a cold man after his wife died.

conclusion: bring the body back to the thesis one last time and restate the thesis
