Thomas Jefferson was the nations 3rd president

He was the main author of the Declaration of Independence.

During the revolutionary war he served as the governor of Virginia

In 1785 he became the prime minister of France πŸ‡«πŸ‡·

He lost the race to become president in 1796 and became the Vice President,and won the the election of president in 1800.And reelected in 1804.

One of the biggest things he is known for is the purchase of the Louisiana territory in 1803 which dubbed the size of the United States πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

The founder of the University of Virginia

In 1768 he start constructing his house call Monticello it was on a hill and was surrounded by 5,000 Acres from his dad when he died.

And he was known as the common man president.
