Happy May! We hope this letter finds you well. We are so excited for what the LORD has been doing in the youth group and is doing in our lives.
CREEKSIDE YOUTH
WHEN: Tuesday nights 6:00pm - 8:30pm. June 5th will be our very first meeting!

WHAT: Food, Bible, Friends (What more could you want?)
We are beyond excited to start youth group on Tuesday Nights at Creekside. Our first meeting will just be a BBQ to get to know each other. We truly believe that God is going to do great things. Come be a part of what God is doing!
gUYS AND gIRLS DISCIPLESHIP
So... we have been really praying and trying to figure out what it looks like to do discipleship well. We were meeting on Wednesday nights for most of this year, but not really a lot of students were coming because of homework, sports, and busyness. Then we decided to move discipleship to Sunday afternoon at 12pm... But again we didn't really feel like this was a great solution because we want students to be able to go to lunch and hang out with their families on Sundays.
So... we will not be meeting at 12pm for discipleship on Sundays... However, we are super excited about some of the new things God is leading us towards. We are going to be changing how we go about our regular service time. We will be including small groups and a time for prayer and discussion. We think it is going to be super Awesome! Come hungry to dig into the word of God, worship, and fellowship with friends.

BUT WE ALSO LOVE DIGGING DEEP Into the word of god...
WE HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH THE BOOK OF LUKE.WE ARE IN LUKE CHAPTER 11 AND WE HAVE BEEN TALKING A LOT ABOUT PRAYER. HOW WHEN WE PRAY GOD DOES THINGS TO STUFF... YES, THE STUFF IN OUR WORLD, BUT ALSO THE STUFF OF OUR HEARTS. AND WE HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT HOW HE ASKS US TO KEEP PRAYING AND TO KEEP KNOCKING. PRAYER IS A LIFE STYLE, NOT JUST SHOWING UP TO CHURCH ONCE A WEEK TO SAY A FEW WORDS TO THE MAN UP STAIRS. HAHA WE ARE CALLED TO BE PRAYING WITHOUT CEASING... LIKE ALL THE TIME. WE ARE CALLED TO KEEP KNOCKING!
SENIORS DINNER IS COMING UP!!

WHERE: MOD Pizza, 7447 Academy Blvd N, Colorado Springs, CO 80920
COST: $10.00 per person
WHAT: This night is specifically for our seniors, to encourage them and tell them that we believe in them as they transition out of High School and into the "Adult World". YOU CAN'T MISS OUT ON THIS!

Saturday the 18th - The Incline! Meet at the base of the Manitou Incline at 8am. Bring water and a snack. Plan on being picked up at 11am
Friday the 24th - Worship and Spoken Word Night "Back to School battle"
