#reWINd: Frogs Pull Away From Butler TCU 73, Butler 47

It was Fort Worth ISD Field Trip Day inside Schollmaier Arena as the Frogs played in front of nearly 4,000 students from local elementary schools.

The game was very physical early, and Butler took a 12-0 lead after five minutes of action.

From there, the Frogs went on 16-1 run to close the first quarter, led by 10 points from AJ Alix.

The physicality continued into the second and third quarters as TCU led by six points, 45-39, entering the fourth quarter.

TCU, however, dominated the fourth quarter and pulled away with the win. The Frogs outscored Butler, 28-8, in the fourth thanks to hitting 8-of-14 shots and holding the Bulldogs to 4-of-17.

Amber Ramirez led all scorers with 19 points, thanks in large part to 5-of-8 from long range.

The freshman has made at least one 3-pointer in all six games of her young career.

The Frogs now face two straight games against the SEC, starting with a trip to LSU on Sunday for the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. TCU will then host Texas A&M at Schollmaier Arena on Thursday, December 8.
