Showing July 27 - August 30 Seeking Harmony: watercolors by Jamie Hansen on display at the Anderson Arts Center

Show Opens Friday, July 27 6:00pm

Jamie Hansen is a watercolor artist living in Anderson, South Carolina. She studied art in the US and Germany and worked as a graphic artist in the giftware industry for over a decade. She has sold watercolor paintings and custom watercolor illustrations to buyers across the US and around the world.

The show opens at 6:00pm on Friday, July 27 and admission is free. Guests at the opening will enjoy more than 30 original artworks, hors d’oeuvres, and guitar music by Joe Wehunt, Assistant Professor at Anderson University. The artworks will be on display through August 30.

These artworks feature reflective metals applied to the surface of watercolor paintings. Metals such as gold and copper reflect light even when there is not enough light to see the colors in the artwork. In that way, the art adapts to its environment, changing in response to lighting.
