Microwaves- they are used to cook food they are short in wavelength.

Infrared rays- these waves are used to heat things they are popular in fast food restaurants.

Visible light- this is the only part of the spectrum you can see.

Ultraviolet light- is produced by the sun and tanning beds it gives you that golden brown skin.

X rays- these are used in medical imaging and cancer treatment.

Gamma rays- these rays are used in cancer treatment because they can kill certain cells.
