2020 Theme

In the last moments of Jesus’ ministry on Earth, he said something that is extremely shocking: that it is for our good that he should go away.

Say what?!?

He follows this shocking statement with encouragement and hope – that once he leaves he will send an advocate to speak on our behalf. That advocate is the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Trinity. He holds the same power of God the Father and the same promise of Jesus the Son. He lives in us and works through us and keeps us connected to one another. As we answer Christ’s call on our lives to be Kingdom workers, the Holy Spirit guides and provides … and the fruits of that labor are wide-reaching and eternal.

In 2020 CIY MOVE will explore the Third Person of the Trinity – who he is, how he works, and the many ways high school students can lean in and stay connected to him every moment of their lives.

A WEEK OF MOVE IS BUILT UPON FOUR CORE CONCEPTS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY TO SPEAK TO HIGH SCHOOLERS.

Intense, interactive worship with some of today’s best worship bands creating an atmosphere that will draw you closer to God while setting the tone for each session

Dynamic teaching from renowned student ministry leaders and teacher to challenge you to dig into Biblical truth at a level everyone can understand

Community is an important aspect and through tournaments like dodgeball and volleyball you will have the opportunity to build community with other kingdom workers. Looking for something less competitive, most days MOVE will have special activities for you to participate in like a talent show, scavenger hunt and creative art spaces.

An environment is created for you to clearly hear Jesus' call on your life to be a Kingdom worker. This is a call to do more than just attend an event but to live beyond the event.

THE CAMPUS:

TBD

KINGDOM WORKERS

A Kingdom Worker is a Christian who uses whatever sphere of influence he or she has to proclaim the message of Jesus. Kingdom Workers include school teachers, moms, high school basketball players, bass guitarists, doctors and a countless list of others. Their ministry may look different, but they have each surrendered to Jesus, and are committed to using their gifts, abilities and relationships to advance his Kingdom.

At MOVE, students are called to be Kingdom workers. They are challenged to not only grow in their faith in Christ, but to also show the love of Christ to the world around them. Whether students are simply nicer to their teachers in school or choose to get involved in improving their communities, MOVE encourages students to make a difference no matter where they are or what they do. In the past, MOVE has raised up students who have fed 500 families on Thanksgiving, built wells with clean water in Zambia, worked to stop sex-trafficking in Cambodia, and clothed the homeless in their community.
