Men’s Soccer Wolstein Weekend The Ohio State University

Ohio State Men’s Soccer hosted the 11th Annual Bert and Iris Wolstein Classic Friday, August 26th and Sunday, August 28th. The weekend consisted of four games between Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Oakland and UC Santa Barbara. Friday night, Ohio State hosted Virginia Tech which was promoted throughout Welcome Week at Buck-I-Frenzy, Buckeye Kick Off, Involvement Fair and on the Oval. Friday night, it was the largest event on campus for new students where we broke the Wolstein Classic attendance record with 1,979 fans cheering on the Buckeyes. The excitement continued into Sunday where we had more register to wins for students and free tacos. After a 2 hour rain delay, the game was played in front of the third largest crowd for a Wolstein Classic game.

  • Highest Wolstein Classic Attendance (2,743) with a 2 hour rain delay on Sunday.
