Who is our NuVuX Fellow?
. . . students who have experienced the NuVuX pedagogy and process become aware not only of the social, cultural, and physical systems that surround them but they also learn to see themselves as people who have the power, confidence, and ability to reimagine these systems for the better." Shaunta Butler, NuVuX Architecture Design Fellow
This Week
This Week at Wheeler, we realized the power of community. The entire Hamilton student body advocated for climate change , and the Upper School's Advocacy and Activism Club led plans for more student activism around the issue. A year's worth of free reading screenings for the community beyond our School was announced by the new Hamilton Institute for Outreach and Advocacy, and soon became the hottest share on social media. Faculty and staff were treated to breakfast goodies from our community of parents and guardians organized by the Wheeler School Parents Association while students from grades 7-12 went on a day of trips and activities to build connections and create class unity. And, we announced an expansion of open classroom Wheeler Day events!
