Creighton School Groundbreaking

The ground has officially been broken at Creighton School! The construction has begun to create an innovative, reimagined school that will be a model for schools all over the nation. Thank you to Skip Creighton, community member- Danita Rios, and Senator Kate Brophy McGee for their insights and support of the new Creighton School.

Also, thank you to our partners Chasse Building Team and SPS+ Architects for sponsoring the event and helping us reimagine learning environments.

Resolutions Passed by the Governing Board

At the April 23 Creighton Governing Board meeting, the board passed two resolutions: Denouncing the Use of Handcuffs on Students in K-8 Education Settings and a Trauma Informed Resolution.

Biltmore Art Show

Biltmore Art Teacher, Mrs. Wheatman, organized an art show showcasing student art from all grades. BPA has some incredibly talented artists - great job to the participating students and thank you to all the families who came to support!

Gifted and Talented Parent Night

At the Gifted and Talented Family Night, families learned about the program and took part in an educational game and received instructions on how to play at home.

LCK Teacher Receives Elevate Phoenix Award

Ellen Reibschied received the Patty and David Meyers Elevator in Education Award from Elevate Phoenix! She was treated to a breakfast and Phoenix Country Club and received this great trophy. Congratulations!

The Governing Board Want to Hear From You

The Creighton Governing Board wants to hear from you. Did you know you can speak to the board during call to the public? Here is the process:

“Request To Address Board” cards must be completed and submitted to the Board Secretary before the start of the board meeting, if you would like to speak on an agenda item. Board Policy provides for two cards, white cards to be submitted in order to speak to an agenda item and blue cards to be submitted in order to speak during Public Comments. Policy also states there is a five minute maximum time limit per speaker. Due to the Open Meeting Law, board members are not allowed to address items that are not on the agenda If you do not want to address the board but wish to give your comments in writing you can do so on a goldenrod sheet and all members will receive a copy.
