Crock-Pot COOK OFF CHALLENGE AT FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF EVERETT

Join us this Sunday, April 23rd, after worship for

FPCE's Inaugural

Crock-Pot Cook Off Challenge

From 11:30am to 1:30pm, we will be eating, learning about Easter and the resurrection, and working in groups to encourage each other in our faith.

This week: Who has the best recipe family crock-pot recipe? Who will be our inaugural food challenge champion?

Here are the rules:

1 – Gather your family or take a moment to reflect, what is our/my world-renowned recipe that we/I can make in my crock-pot?

2 – You get one protein. It is a challenge, so maybe you’ll use beef, chicken, or something more exotic like elk (it’s up to you).

3 – You can add up to 5 other ingredients. Like beans? Need a little spicy kick? Does chocolate make the grade? Go for it!

4 – Bring your crock-pot to Stocker kitchen (some recipes will need cooking before hand) with a description of your recipe on Sunday. This can be done before worship beginning at 9:15am.

5 – We will gather in Stocker Hall to begin our time together at 11:30am.

At 12:30pm we will open our crock-pots for some celebrity judging and overall eating of good food. We will conclude with prayer at 1:30pm.

This is an all ages, open to all. We look forward to grow in our walk with Jesus and building community.

Adults are invited to Calvin Lounge at 11:30am as we welcome guest speaker, Marcela Ewert, oceanographer from the University of Washington. Marcela joins us as part of our Earth Care Series: Fish Stories. She'll present, "Microscopic Life in the Arctic Sea as Witness to Global Warming" telling her vivid tale of life of bacteria buried in the ice caps that tell us about global warming impact on our planet. Afterwards, join us in Stocker Hall for the Crock-Pot Cook Off Challenge.
