"Always concentrate on how far you have come, rather than how far you have left to go." — Heidi Johnson
The Mt. Washington Auto Road Crew hard at work clearing deep snow from the "5 MILE" portion of the Auto Road.
All forms of "BIG TRUCKS" and specially crafted equipment are used in clearing snow and removing/melting ice from the road and culverts.
The Annual Spring Auto Road Clearing is an important part of our year. Though the tools have changed and improved, the quest remains the same: REMOVE THE SNOW AND ICE!!

Spring is here and summer is coming friends. Stayed tuned and follow our progress clearing the Auto Road to the summit of New Englands highest peak, Mt. Washington.
