Welcome to my Seton Hall basketball photo blog for the 2019 season. The Pirates finished the year with a 20-14 record and a fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament.

Non-Conference Highlights

The Garden State Hardwood Classic - Rutgers vs Seton Hall

Myles Powell's game high 28 points powered the Pirates to a 72-66 win over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights to bring the Garden State Hardwood Classic Trophy back to Seton Hall.

Louisville vs Seton Hall

Despite a game high 23 points from guard Myles Powell the Pirates dropped a close one to Louisville 70-65.

The Citi Hoops Classic from Madison Square Garden - Seton Hall vs #9 Kentucky

Seton Hall upsets #9 Kentucky in overtime 84-83.

2019 Big East Highlights

Seton Hall would finish 2019 Big East play with a 9-9 record good enough for third place. It was the fourth straight year that the Pirates would finish with a .500 or higher mark in conference play.

Awards & Accolades

The lone senior on the team, Michael Nzei was honored at home on Senior Day. Nzei would post 10 points and 3 rebounds that day in a 79-75 victory over #23 Villanova. He would also go on to win the Big East Scholar Athlete of the Year Award.

Junior guard Myles Powell finished 2019 with an impressive list of accomplishments. He was named to the All-Big East First Team, the USBWA All-District Team, the NABC All-District Team, All-American Honorable Mention by the AP and was named the 2019 Haggerty Award Winner.
