Robert Bourgeois

CTE Digital Arts Teacher - Game Design

Robert Bourgeois teaches digital arts and game design at Durham School of the Arts, located in Durham, NC, where he strives to both inspire creativity as well as teach both students and fellow educators how to use the same tools as professionals when creating their own digital artwork. Besides being integral with bringing digital art classes to the school, Robert assisted with the Department of Education’s 2017 EdSim Challenge focusing on the use of virtual reality in the classroom, worked on the NC curriculum development team designing courses on game design, and serves as department chair. In 2019, Mr. Bourgeois was honored by his coworkers as their teacher of the year. He is also an Adobe Campus Leader along with being an Adobe Education Trainer and has earned ACA certifications in Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere.

Victor González

Spanish & IT Teacher

Victor has been teaching Modern Languages and IT for over 20 years. He's also conducted workshops and seminars for language and IT teachers at international level.

His interests lie in the fields of language curriculum and materials design through innovative digital tools. He is an official International Baccalaureate® Language B examiner and a subject leader in IT Competencies in Translation, Interpretation & Applied Languages at UOC (Open University of Catalonia).

His publications include articles for IS Magazine, Global Insights, Catalonia Today, El Punt Avui and Cambridge University Press. In addition to being an AET, he is also a Certified Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert.

Heath Henwood

Heath Henwood is an Educator, Leadership development Coach, speaker, researcher, and Doctoral candidate. He has been an Adobe trainer for over seven years, and is a Campus Leader. His passion is to develop teachers to enable them to make an impact in their teaching and learning, to improve student results.

Diana Keeler

Manager of Digital Production

Los Angeles, California

Diana Keeler is a media instructor and filmmaker in Los Angeles, California. She works as the Manager of Digital Production in the Media Arts & Culture department at Occidental College and teaches in the ArtCenter Extension program at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena. Her courses involve creating projects in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Character Animator, Premiere, After Effects, Dreamweaver, and XD. In addition to teaching, she is a key creative at 228 Interactive, a video game development studio, and a board member of Azure Lorica, a non-profit organization that promotes social justice through art.

William Oesch

Interactive Multimedia Instructor

Currently, William is an Interactive Multimedia instructor at the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center. He instructs students in the 11th and 12th grade in the areas of Graphic Design, Photography, Animation, Game Design, Video Production and Movie Making. He also spends time working with other STEM related areas such as 3D Printing. Additionally, he really enjoys working in the video and photography world. He is married and has a daughter.

Ian Upton

Ian describes himself as an Artist, Technologist and Teacher.

He has spent his working career creatively subverting technology to produce innovative, human centred, solutions to solve artistic, business and research problems.

Much of his career has also been involved with making technology accessible and meaningful. He is a passionate de-geeker. He makes digital media approachable and meaningful for those who will ultimately use and/or consume it.

He has worked, researched and studied right across the digital media landscape. As a designer. From computer games through to AR art installations. From academic web infrastructure through to MoD immersive VR training experiences. From BBC Micros through to collaborative, educational cloud applications. He has a huge, practical, experience of digital tech (particularly Adobe Media Production) coupled with an artist’s 'no rules' approach to making things work.

He is an innovative and inspirational teacher with the ability to instill confidence and inspire students and staff to make the digital world their own.
