Donald Trump has always been a controversial figure on social media. He has never been afraid to express his opinion on things even if it makes him seem very controversial. He used social media to verbally abuse anyone he disagrees with and gained many followers before his presidency campaign due to his abusive nature appealing to those who don't agree with how things are normally done. Trump has made a lot of bold statements on 'Twitter' some of these being; "A dishonest slob of a reporter, who doesn't understand my sarcasm when talking about him or his wife, wrote a foolish & boring Trump ‘hit’”, “Sorry losers and haters, but my I.Q. is one of the highest -and you all know it! Please don't feel so stupid or insecure. It's not your fault”

Donald Trump's attitude on social media stayed much the same even when running for presidency. He remained arrogant and carried on expressing his controversial opinions on 'Twitter'. He continued gaining followers and supporters through social media and also used his presence to launch verbal attacks on fellow presidency nominees making social media a very useful asset for him as In the US, social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter are almost solely accessed on a person's smartphone. With almost three-quarters of Americans owning one, it’s no surprise that social media is an important part of any candidate’s presidential campaign. For Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, social media is not only important, but integral, to his success in the polls. So what better way to reveal just how Trump has done this than through the one device that gives him uninhibited access to voters – the mobile phone. During Trump's campaign he made statements on twitter such as “When Mitt Romney asked me for my endorsement last time around, he was so awkward and goofy that we all should have known he could not win!” Here's a video explaining why social media helped Trump so much during his presidency campaign;
