Feeling Cold, Cold, Cold
Bring on the beanies, scarves and the boots! Winter is here. Time to bring out all of the indoor activities and gum boots for jumping in muddy puddles. I have started to stock up on my craft supplies at home and I’m upsizing my children’s gum boots and rain coats. The washing machine is sure to get a great workout this winter.
Another great indoor activity many love to do when it is cold and miserable outside is to go to the movies. Currently in cinemas is a film from Damon Gameau, director of ‘That Sugar Film’, called 2040. His film is an aspirational journey to discover what the future could look like if we simply embraced the best that exists today. This is one to watch and to reflect upon how we can make a difference now.
The technology team (parents and teachers) are working on putting together a proposal to give to the community. We were hoping that we can get something out to everyone this week, but as we are wanting to be thorough and ensure that all considerations have been made, we are requiring more time. We are hoping that the our proposal will be finalised by the end of this term, ready for distribution before the holidays. Thank you everyone for your feedback and patience. We are working on providing our students with the best opportunities to allow for a great education.
Last week we ‘Celebrated Careers’ with all Victorian schools. Along with the JSC holding a fun ‘dress up day’, we held an Open Day where parents came in to see our great teachers in action. I’d like to say a big thank you to all of our wonderful teachers for opening their doors.
Enjoy your weekend. Stay warm and safe.
