Sea Otter Ocean

Important Facts

Average Size: 65 lbs

Form of Transportation: A sea otter's most common form of travel is done through swimming. However, sea otters spend most of their time floating on their backs in the ocean.

Diet: Being that sea otters are carnivores, they eat mussels, clams, snails and 40 other marine species in order to stay alive.

Why I chose this organism: I chose to research the sea otter because I was really curious about them. I like learning about sharks, dolphins and other ocean animals, so learning about an ocean animal I was unfamiliar with was an easy choice.
