I am a very ambitious person and once I set my mind to something I almost always achieve it. I had to switch majors a few time in my college career along with volunteering at different places to find out what I ultimately want to do with my life. Physical therapy was the answer. I am so interested in the physiology of the human body and how multiple groups of muscle work together at one time to achieve movement. I also am very into the sport culture and combining those two aspects is the path I wish to take. To eventually work with athlete and rehab them back to game ready positions is my dream job! It is going to be hard work but I have the determination to get there. Volunteering at a sports medicine facility and working along side and over seeing physical therapist in their work environment is truly something I love to watch and cannot wait to achieve one day. I look at all the hard work I have put in to my education and the long route I have to go to get to where I want to be, and I am excited about it. Looking back on all the cramming sessions and long hours of volunteering with no pay just to learn more about my field is definitely worth it. There is a saying "Do what you love and you will never work a day in your life" and I truly understand that now because not only is the hard work worth it, to me it is also a lot of fun!
