The Veterans Affair is responsible for providing services for all American Veterans. Veterans are provided with health care services benefits programs and access to national cemeteries. The department also provides life insurance to service members. VBA'S housing program provides them with loans to purchase homes. The GI Bill also provides them with free education to college, provides up to 36 month of school. The GI Bill also supports apprenticeships and job training. The veterans benefits could also help support their families/spouses. The United States has the most comprehensive system of assistance for Veterans of any nation in the world, with roots that can be traced back to 1636. There are 18.8 million veterans in the United States, according to the most recent statistics from the US Census.
The veterans have their own holiday on NOV 11TH. On this day us citizens show appreciation to those fighting for our country..
