Art Forum Newsletter March 2017

Ok Folks! It's that "Mad as a March Hare" time of year again. My daily lists are getting longer. The garden is getting fuller and brighter. The studio is getting more unorganized as I work in more different mediums. Invitations for shows are coming in. And I'm becoming overwhelmed, overstimulated and generally discombobulated. The long sleep of winter is almost over and life is picking up the pace. So take a deep breath and dive in - 2017 is getting ready to rumble!

Upcoming shows:

May- Sam Bonds

June- Allann Bros.

October- Lincoln Gallery

December- Townshend's Tea House

New Tagging Information

I'm running this again so we remember it for our next show. To avoid confusion when hanging our shows, we now have a new tagging system. Every piece exhibited needs to have a tag on the back or the bottom (3D art) that has the following information:

"So Small"

OSLP BENEFIT - start making small art to donate to OSLP Benefit. All pieces need to be 9 square inches or less. Since they so generously allow us to use their space for our meetings, I hope all of you will contribute. This will be held on May 27th. I'll post more information when they have it on their website.

The monthly challenge is optional. Members may use this opportunity to stretch themselves and create something out of their comfort zone or they may bring another piece that is unrelated to the theme for "show and tell". The Theme for March is "Trust".

Here are some pieces from February. The Theme was "Courage"
