Second Vatican Council
The Second Vatican Council reemphasized the bishop’s role as teacher and pastor confirmed through the fullness of the Sacrament of Holy Orders. This consecration ordains bishops for the highest priesthood, the summit of sacred ministry. The college of bishops exists for the purpose of preserving the unity of the universal Church. As such, the whole college shares with the pope authority over the whole Church. This is sometimes called the doctrine of episcopal collegiality

Archbishop Thomas Winski
born in West Palm Beach on October 18, 1950 grew up in Lake Worth, Florida where he attended Catholic school at his home parish, Sacred Heart. He studied at St. John Vianney Minor Seminary in Miami and later at St. Vincent de Paul Major Seminary in Boynton Beach and was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Miami on May 15, 1976.
Archbishop Peter Baldacchino
Baldacchino was born in Sliema, Malta, on Dec. 5, 1960, the second oldest of four children. He was ordained to the priesthood on May 25, 1996, for the Archdiocese of Newark, N.J. He studied science and chemistry at the University of Malta.
