How to keep up to date: FACEBOOK and WEBPAGE

Start to the season. We hit off our road season with some windy and cold nights but last Thursday we were finally able to show off some skin. So far our nights we have been covering 30-40 km and throwing in an interval or two before we regroup and keep going. Want to join us? We meet at 6:30 at Shift Happens. Any members new to the road, don't worry we can buddy you up and show you the ropes to be a safe confident road rider.

Mountain bike ride will be alternating Monday nights. Our own "King Shift" president will be leading learn to ride mountain clinic starting May 7th (weather permitting) Keep an eye of facebook for confirmation of time and location. Bring your bike, helmet, hydration and a snack.

April 14th we started our rider development series. As the weather is getting nicer more and more people are heading out. Make a difference by fundraising yourself and riding the MS Leduc Camrose ride June 9th and 10th, make a donation to a rider you know and ride with us on Saturday mornings 9AM at Shift Happens. Road Riding not your cup of tea don't worry. September MS Hinton moutain bike ride and development series is waiting for you.

First trail building / trail marking night of the season

Alternating Monday Nights at 6:30 at Trail head under the bridge. Bring gloves, mosquito repellant, water, snacks and weather appropriate clothes. Never been involved in trail building? No worries. We have some tools and will guide you with what we need from you. Our goal is to work in the downhill switch backs to be ready for the weekend of June 2nd as there will be an obstacle race "Rise Up Challenge" https://www.riseupchallenge.ca Keep your eyes peeled we will be hosting a worker bee trail day / evening before then. April 30th will be trial building night

Trial Conditions

When the dirt jumps and flow trial are marked as closed please stay off. Be a great ambassador to our system and don't ride mud trails.

ERTC is hosting an inter-club time trial May 6th.

"This is a club level race that is open to anyone who is an active member of an ABA affiliated club. You do not have to have a full ABA racing license. This Individual Time Trial is an opportunity for new racers to give racing a try, and for experienced racers to test their fitness against the clock."

https://www.facebook.com/events/383654362103989/ You need to be a club member and sign up on zone 4

DBA in the community

We love Bike Town AB, so when the call out for #pitchin2018 we were up for the challenge. One evening, lots of gloves, garbages and of course ended up at Marcis for food and drinks.

Of course with usual shenanigans!

Unofficial rides

Check you Do you want to ride? on facebook for unofficial rides that some of our members want company on. Rumour has it Tuesdays after bears (for mountain bike rides) and Saturdays (for road rides) after June 10th may hold some interest for some of our local riders.
