Does the Demarcus Cousins trade favor the Pelicans or Kings?
Do u think Demarcus cousins and the new look Pelicans won the trade between them and the Kings, if so read on!
The blockbuster trade of the year that sent Demarcus Cousins and Omri Casspi to the Pelicans for Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans and Langston Galloway and 2017 first and second round picks to the Kings has not had a great effect on either teams yet.
From one article it stated right after the trade the gradings for each side was, “The Kings needed to trade Cousins, but I believe they could have accepted a better offer. Because of this, I give the Kings a C- grade on this trade deadline deal. I give the Pelicans an A grade because the pairing of Boogie and the Brow forms the best frontcourt duo in the league.” ( College and Pro Hoops) But both teams after the first 9 games after the trade are sub .500 with wins.
Next year though can be a different story for the Pelicans, because, TheRinger is basically saying the Pelicans can become very good if Demarcus and Anthony Davis work together which should be easy over time and they can become a top 10 team.
So does this trade benefit the Pelicans or the Kings?
