Rideau canal

The Rideau Canal is a canal of a length of 202km. This canal is used to connects the city of Ottawa, Ontario, on the Ottawa River to the city of Kingston, Ontario, on Lake Ontario.

The canal was opened in 1832,as a precaution in case of war with the United States with the architect John By. At the base the first purpose of the Rideau Canal was military, as it was scheduled to provide a secure communication route between Montreal and the British Neval bas in Kingston.

During the winter, a section of the Rideau Canal passing through central Ottawa becomes officially the world largest and second longest skating rink. The length is 7.8km and has the equivalent surface area of 90 Olympics ice hockey rink.

Canada's Wonderland

Canada's Wonderland is a 330-acre roller coaster park located in Vaughan, Ontario. Opened in 1981 as the first major theme park in Canada, it remains the country's largest. Canada's Wonderland has been he most visited seasonal amusement park in North America for a lot of consecutive years. The park is open daily from May to September, with weekend openings in late April, October and early November.

Canada's Wonderland has a total oh 69 attractions, whose 16 roller coasters and 2 water rides. There is about 3 617 000 visitors each years. It is one of the most popular roller coaster park in North America.

Shania Twain

Shania Twain is born in August 28, 1965 in Windsor, Ontario. She is a signer and songwriter country and pop. Shania has sold over 85 millions records, making her the best selling female artist in the history of country music and one of the best selling artist of all the time.

With her second album, 1995's The Woman in Me, she sold about 20 millions copies and that making her earning her first Grammy Award. Her third album Come On Over became the best-selling studio album of all time by a woman and the best selling country album. She won about 186 other awards in the rest of her career and she is not about to stop it!
