Alumnae Au Courant NOVEMBER 2018

Astronaut Dr. Peggy Whitson, IBM & NASA Visit

Thanks to a partnership with IBM and NASA, Sacred Heart Greenwich welcomed NASA Astronaut Dr. Peggy Whitson to campus on October 29. NASA's most famous astronaut inspired all students at Sacred Heart Greenwich to quite literally reach for the stars.

"I’m pleased that I can be a role model for these girls. I know some of these ladies will be walking on the moon, or on Mars, or on Europa, or on some new discovery that we do. I’m very excited for them — I think the space industry is on a precipice of big change and they’ll get to be a part of that." - Dr. Peggy Whitson

The King Street Chronicle sat down with Dr. Peggy Whitson to learn more about her life and find out who inspired her to become an astronaut.

The second graders also played a special role in the liturgy during the presentation of the gifts while some talented faculty members provided beautiful music throughout.
