Abstract

A drone was used to capture data using videos and stills of the balconies to identify conditions of four (4) buildings, 192 balconies in total. Each building consisted of forty-eight (48) individual balconies, twelve (12) on northern elevation, twelve (12) southern elevation. The aerial content provided both horizontal and angled perspectives of the balconies. Typical conditions were identified reviewing the content and a sampling of same included below.

  • Railing detail inconsistencies in spacing and anchoring
