Sacagawea was born sometime around 1790 in Lemhi River Valley,Idaho. Here is five interesting facts about Sacagawea. Sacagawea was kidnapped when she was ten years old. Sacagawea was a prisoner when she was 11 or 13 years old. Sacagawea was a Shoshone. Sacagawea was born in Idaho. Her tribe was attacked when she was 11.

The reason Sacagawea traveled because she was Lewis and Clark's navigator. They went up Missouri river, Montana, and the Great Falls. She stared to explore in 1805.

They had 40 men. They traveled up the Missouri river in a large boat called a barge and two smaller boats. They were traveling against a current. They packed rifles, food, warm cloths, glass beads, and trinkets to trade with the Indians. All the miles added up is over 7,000.

After the exploration Sacagawea didn't go on any other explorations. But she died December 20, 1812.

Sacagawea explore only once. They traveled up the Missouri river and that is the story about Sacagawea.

Fun facts. Sacagawea was honored on the U.S coin. Lewis and Clark would have failed without Sacagawea and other tribes.
