Composing on the Classical period and helping transition into the Romantic period.
Born in Bonn Germany, the capital of Electorate of Cologne. Beethoven showed his musical talents at a young age and was taught first by his father and the composer Christian Gottlob Neefe. When he was 21 he moved to Vienna and studied composition with Joseph Hayden.In his late 20s his hearing started to fade, in 1811 he stoped conducting and composing in public and continued in private until his death in 1827
