MVP Award for the NBA

The reason that I chose this topic is because my favorite hobby and sport to do is play basketball. My whole life I have always played basketball and doing what I can to help my team win the championship. Another reason that I chose this topic is because I always want to be the best player on and off the court. My dad has coached me throughout my whole life and has always been pushing me to do better in all my athletics. My dad is a role model to me in all my sports but especially basketball. My mom has also cheered me on in the stands and made me believe more in myself on the court took today. Without my parents I would never be talking about basketball right now or even playing it.

My second reason why I chose the most valuable player award out of any of the awards because that is what I always push myself to get. I wanted to prove the MVP award to me isn't just scoring the most points, it is getting assists, rebounds, and being a leader on the court. Basketball has made a major impact on my life which made me want to go to Notre Dame College Prep besides getting a good education. Another reason why I chose this topic is because I believe Russell Westbrook is the best point guard in the league and I very much look up to him. Russell has the most triple doubles in the whole National basketball association right now and I wish someday that could be me. When I surveyed the part that really stood out to me is when nine out of the thirteen people that surveyed said they think Russell Westbrook is going to win the MVP award. I thought most people thought James Harden was going to win

My final reason that I chose this topic is because I wanted to learn more about the best four players in basketball right now. The four candidates for the MVP aren't just regular players, they are the stars in the NBA. These players will possibly go into the hall of fame. When I go to James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Lebron James, and Kawhi Leonard’s basketball games they inspire me a lot and show me how much on how I can improve my talent. The MVP candidates can inspire their fans to play even more, especially me. If it weren't for these great players no one would want to do see any NBA games, but people do because they are role models to most of the people who love basketball. The final reason why I chose this topic is because I look to play basketball in the future and hopefully stand where the MVP candidates are right now.

"Be the best version of yourself in anything you do. You don’t have to live anybody else’s story.” – Stephen Curry (last years MVP)
